Dear Art Lovers,

An exciting auction week is behind us. Despite the World Cup and incredible weather the auction room was full, at times right down to the last seat.

In the area of Modern Art we saw a Russian work come to the forefront: Galina Dmitrievna Cicagovas „Composition Nr. 11“ (Lot number 1489, Reserve 1.500 Euro) with the constructionist depiction of a drummer girl, reached more than three times its reserve price to land at 4.600 Euro.

Forty Clocks, with the sensational reserve price of just 1.000 Euro each, lured many Time- piece collectors to Lindau on Saturday afternoon. Telephone bidders were already fully booked the day before and the auction room full with hopeful collectors. From the almost completely sold collection of Salon and Carriage clocks are a few highlights. The rare Stockuhr au sauvage with the exquisite depiction of „America“ as regal Moor and shell stick (Lot number 2253, Reserve 1.000 Euro) reached 7.500 Euro. Even more in demand the unusual Stockuhr mit Carillon from a Viennese clock maker „Gotfrit Salomon Haß of Vienna“ (Lot number 2276, reserve 1.000 Euro), the piece dated 1780, was pushed to reach ten times its reserve price. Also much in demand, a rare Bilderuhr mit 7 Automaten (Lot number 2283, Reserve 1.000 Euro), which went to a very happy collector in the auction room for 6.800 Euro.

The auction came to its conclusion on Saturday afternoon with the auctioning of Jewellery. Here too could be found great knockdowns. An exquisite Art Deco Diamond solitaire can now be found adorning the hand of a very lucky lady (Lot number 2637, Reserve 8.000 Euro) for 8.800 Euro and a stunning Emerald/Diamond Collier (Lot number 2644, Reserve and Result 14.000 Euro) the neck of another.
