Dear Art Friends,

 

At this our most beautiful time of year we take great pleasure in cordially inviting you to visit us on the Lake of Constance. You will not only marvel at the wonderful Scenery here but also at our magnificent collection of Art treasures we have collected together for your delectation.

With over 2500 Lot numbers on offer, we are sure there is something to suit every taste and budget.

 

In the Sparta Asiatic we have without doubt the highlight of our Auction. A life-sized Vimalakirti from the Edo Period. Sculptured in the 17 th Century, in Japan, this holy piece is not only impressive because of its size but also due to its incredible realistic working of skin like textures. This piece comes to life before ones eyes and must be seen to be believed.  We also have in our Asian Art Department an extensive  rare collection of Tibetan Buddahs,temple figures and two particularly important Chinese bronze holders from the Chou Dynasty (4-3 Century B.C).

 

Of course there are also treasures to be discovered in the European Art Department. In particular the paintings of Eduard Cucuel ( pupil of Putz) will I am sure attract your attention. He draws us into a delightfully colourful garden and the beholders eye is draw to rest on a blooming Lilac tree. In contrast in the Maritime Department, Johannes H.Koelckoek offers us a Dutch  water inlet  complete with sailing boats. August Ludwig Erhard Boll gives us a romantic view of  Lake Geneva and in the Religious Art section we offer an impressive “Hoib” by Albert Birkle.

 

Bibliophiles will be happy to see some exceptional rare editions. Including the 1586 collection of the “Lexicon Trilingue” published in Salzburg, or  Wilhelm Bodes „L’Oeuvre Complet de Rembrandt“ in 8 Edition collection from 1897-1906.

Above  all this we also have an astonishingly  diverse number of  Furniture pieces including an important Southern Germany „Louis-Seize“ Writing Cabinet from 1780. Not to mention extraordinary beautiful pieces of Asia Interior furniture.

 

Therefore please take the opportunity to visit us on the 7 th to the 18 th of June in Lindau (daily from 10 am to 6 pm and on June 18 th from 10 am to 4 pm) in order to wonder at this magnificent collection of Art Works.
