Autumn is at the door and so we would like to warmly invite you to take a short visit to the Lake of Constance, where you will discover splendid Art treasures on offer at the 98. International Art Auction.

 

The first step on your visit is to our latest offering, just to remind you we have over 2500 Lot numbers in 40 different specialist areas, of an exquisite collection of Pocket watches by Lange & Sons. This fine collection is guaranteed to make every watch Collectors heart beat a little faster!

 

In the Fine Arts Department the excited Collector will find not only a Heinrich Sperlings atmospheric interior with dogs, charmingly entitled „Träumereien am Kamin“ (Daydreaming by an open-fire), but also a high quality collection of Dutch Artists. One to be especially noted is that of Egbert van Heemskerck, this tableau painting is of locals celebrating at an Inn. Its style reminding us of Brueghels Bauernhochzeit (Farm wedding celebrations).

In the Modern Arts area can not only such well known artists as Jörg Immendorff be found but also an impressive array of modern graphics for every taste and wallet.

 

As always the Asian Art Department plays a prominent role in this seasons Auction. This time with a row of impressive Cambodian stone sculptures including a three part Temple Relief from the early 13 th Century depicting the dance goddess Apsara. If life–sized sand-stone sculptures are two heavy for your taste then we can recommend you take a look at the fine 19 th Century Ivory figures we have in the collection, not to be missed is a wonderful work “Group with Father and two children“. This piece is from the Japanese Edo-period (first half of the 19 th Century).   

 

Please therefore take the opportunity to marvel for yourself at the amazing Art works we have on offer and visit us from the 5 th to the 16 th of September (daily from 10 am till 6 pm) in Lindau.
