Bidding

Besides personal attendance, there are two further ways of participating in an auction sale: in writing by letter, telefax or Email and the other by direct telephone bidding.
A customer who wants to bid by telephone (lots with a minimum bid of EUR 1000) has to inform the auction house correspondingly until the day before at the latest. Then he will be called back during the auction sale to participate directly.
There is also the possibility to browse and to place a bid in our current Online-Catalogue.
The prices indicated in the auction catalogues generally are the lowest limits and bids below them are not accepted.
In case there is only one bid for an object, knocking down is placed at the limit price. This means that for instance an object limited with EUR 2000 is sold at EUR 2000, even in case the written bid for this object says EUR 3000. If there are several bids for one object, bidding up is made in steps of approx. 10 %.
After knocking down the objects can immediately be received at the cash desk.
On request, after payment the objects can be sent by parcel or - where furniture or voluminous objects are concerned - by forwarding agency. The objects are insured and the forwarding department takes care that even fragile things reach their new owners without damages.
During the course of the two to three weeks' preview all objects may be examined personally. Photographs are sent on request. Furthermore the staff is always available for giving details regarding condition and quality of the objects.
